Softball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 7-1 to the Peabody Golden Tide. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Tide apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Westview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Peabody, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Westview will venture away from home to take on Crockett County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Peabody, they will host Jackson North Side at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.22 runs per game on average), something the Golden Tide will no doubt try to take advantage of.
