Canon City has gone a perfect 3-0 against Sierra recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will welcome the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Things were looking good for Canon City after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 22-15 to Pueblo County. Despite 123 more yards than the Hornets, the Tigers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Although Canon City took the loss, they still got scores from William Basham and Thor Shelver.

Meanwhile, Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 39-6 loss at the hands of Pueblo Central.

Canon City now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sierra, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Canon City has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 220.4 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sierra struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 153.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Everything came up roses for Canon City against Sierra in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-0 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Stallions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
