Basketball Recap: Crisfield Comes Up Short

Crisfield and Pocomoke squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Crisfield had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 68-23 loss at the hands of the Pocomoke Warriors. The Crabbers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Donyae Washington continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pocomoke, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 18 boards. Washington is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 44 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Danae Dennis, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 12 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Crisfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Pocomoke, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13.

Crisfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pocomoke, they will head out to face off against Snow Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Snow Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
