Soccer Recap: North Pole Takes a Loss

The matchup between North Pole and West Valley on Thursday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Patriots lost 7-1 to the Wolf Pack. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against West Valley this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 0-0 back in April.

North Pole's goal came courtesy of Erik Ochoa, who's now up to three this season.

North Pole has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-6-2 record this season. As for West Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4-1.

North Pole wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Lathrop on the 20th. As for West Valley, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Juneau-Douglas on the 17th.
