Basketball Recap: Beulah Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dadeville last Thursday, Beulah came back down to earth. The Beulah Bobcats were dealt a 60-17 loss at the hands of the Glenwood Gators on Tuesday. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mimi Johnson had a dynamite game for Glenwood, going 5 for 10 on her way to 17 points. Bobbi Taylor Breazeale was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Beulah has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Glenwood, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Beulah Bobcats take on the Dadeville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beulah is facing Dadeville at the right time seeing as Dadeville is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Glenwood, they will challenge Lee-Scott Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Glenwood has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 177 points over their last three games.
