Basketball Recap: Everman Takes a Loss

Everman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Azle Hornets. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly seven points.

Azle was led to victory by Jayden Taylor and Britt Haas. Taylor dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Haas went 6 of 13 on his way to 15 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Robinson, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Everman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Azle, they moved to 4-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Everman has already played their next matchup, a 62-56 loss against Decatur on the 7th. As for Azle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-35 win against Pottsboro on the 6th.
