The Fremont Pathfinders will take on the Locke Saints at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Fremont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Fremont is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They fell 7-2 to Harbor Teacher.

Fremont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jahdiel Roberts, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Locke hadn't beaten Dorsey on the road since March 29, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. Locke was the clear victor by a 17-5 margin over Dorsey. Considering the Saints have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kingston Romo was incredible, scoring four runs while going 4-for-6. Locke is 3-1 when Romo posts two or more runs, but 0-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Daniel Mata, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Locke kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Locke and bumps their season record up to 3-5. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 14.5 hits in those games compared to only 4.33 in the others. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Fremont took their win against Locke when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-1. Does Fremont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Locke turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
