Football Recap: Christian Heritage Comes Up Short at Home Against Heritage + How To Watch

Christian Heritage unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Heritage Generals on Friday, falling 51-13. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 24-0.

Although Christian Heritage took the loss, they still got scores from Nigel Broome and Jacob Tatum.

Heritage's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brayden Slaughter, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Slaughter posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another pass catcher making a difference was Cody Bryan, who picked up 163 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Christian Heritage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-21 defeat against Landmark Christian on the 22nd. As for Heritage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 27-20 win against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe on the 22nd.
