Mater Dei came tearing into Thursday's contest with 12 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Santa Margarita Eagles 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Tuesday.

Westley Matavao paced Mater Dei's offense, picking up ten kills. Matavao got some help from Sam Capinpin and her ten assists. Layli Ostovar and Lizzy Robinson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Mater Dei's win bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Santa Margarita, their loss dropped their record down to 17-10.

Looking ahead, Mater Dei will welcome JSerra Catholic at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Margarita, they will face off against Orange Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
