Recap: Lee-Scott Academy Warriors vs. Fort Dale Academy Eagles
The Lee-Scott Academy Warriors had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Fort Dale Academy, posting a 42-10 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Lee-Scott Academy, who have now won seven matches by 26 points or more so far this season.
Lee-Scott Academy can attribute much of their success to Jonathan Meyers, who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Jake White did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 127 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Lee-Scott Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31 points. As for Fort Dale Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lee-Scott Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Edgewood Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Edgewood Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Lee-Scott Academy is ranked 89th). As for Fort Dale Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Escambia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
