Volleyball Recap: Jaxon Yang and Tucker Sanders Secure Win for Windsor

It was close, but on Tuesday the Windsor Warriors sidestepped Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley for a 3-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Windsor who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-9.

Windsor was led to victory by Tucker Sanders and Jaxon Yang. Sanders had 18 digs, while Yang had nine digs, seven kills, and two blocks. Those two blocks gave Yang a new career-high. Hunter Dupont was another key player, getting 12 digs.

Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Windsor has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against East Hartford on the 21st. As for Sports & Medical Sciences Academy/Bulkeley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Norwich Free Academy on the 27th.
