Football Recap: Midlothian Heritage's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Midlothian Heritage won the last time they faced Kaufman and Za'Ko Davis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 39-14 margin over the Lions on Friday for which the team can thank Davis, who rushed for 128 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, and also caught one touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Midlothian Heritage's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 6-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Midlothian Heritage didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aaron Cowans and Maddox Aldape.

Kaufman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Cole Martin, who rushed for 53 yards and one TD, and Aljour Miles Ii, who picked up 43 receiving yards and one score.

The win (which was Midlothian Heritage's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games. As for Kaufman, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Midlothian Heritage will take on Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kaufman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
