Basketball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe lost against Harrisburg back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Monroe Dragons might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Harrisburg Eagles an easy 56-30 win. The loss leaves the Dragons without a win on the season.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Harrisburg, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Camas Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Harrisburg, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lowell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Harrisburg is facing Lowell at the right time seeing as Lowell is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
