Basketball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 80-57 to the Hibbing Bluejackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Bluejackets are ranked 108th).

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hibbing, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

North Branch will face off against Cambridge-Isanti at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hibbing, they will square off against Moose Lake/Willow River at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
