Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iowa). They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Leesville Wampus Cats on Tuesday. Considering the Yellowjackets have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Iowa's third in a row) raised their record to 8-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Leesville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6-1.

Iowa will have a chance to go back-to-back against Leesville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
