Carl Junction took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Bolivar, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bulldogs skirted past the Liberators 7-6. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Kiley Spencer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Spencer was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Kady Hunt and Jazmyne Blaney did most of the damage at the plate: Hunt went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles, while Blaney went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Carl Junction's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bolivar, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
