Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 87-17 defeat at the hands of the Beamer Titans. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Andrew McQuade was Jefferson's leading scorer, having posted five points. Adam Thomas held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beamer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Terrence Whiting, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Whiting's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Timaje' Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Beamer, they moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-23 defeat against Enumclaw on the 19th. As for Beamer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-54 victory against Lindbergh on the 19th.
