Softball Recap: Grand Oaks Comes Up Short

Grand Oaks was the 9-2 winner over New Caney when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Grand Oaks Grizzlies took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Caney Eagles on Friday. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grand Oaks' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-4. As for New Caney, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Oaks will welcome Conroe at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Caney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Caney Creek at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
