Volleyball Recap: Bayless Gets the Win

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Bayless and Crossroads had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bronchos came out on top against the Current by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Bronchos in their matchups with the Current: they've now won five in a row.

Bayless had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-23, 25-10, 25-18.

Makayla Lindsey paced Bayless' offense, picking up ten kills. Lindsey got some help from Jayla Suljic and her 15 assists. Nejra Korkaric controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Bayless' record is now 7-8. As for Crossroads, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Bayless will take on Metro at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crossroads, they will face off against Maysville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
