Softball Recap: DePaul College Prep Comes Up Short

DePaul College Prep lost against Evanston back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildkits.

Nell Bansley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Parlier, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

DePaul College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 12-20. As for Evanston, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-17.

Coming up, DePaul College Prep will welcome Ridgewood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Rams are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Evanston, they will host Payton College Prep at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
