Volleyball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Boonville Pirates. If the Owls were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Pirates when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Marshall was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Boonville's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-12, 25-15.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Boonville, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Marshall didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hannibal on the 14th. As for Boonville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Fulton on the 11th.
