Soccer Game Preview: Orangewood Christian vs. Bishop Moore

The Orangewood Christian Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Bishop Moore Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bishop Moore is hoping to do what All Saints' Academy couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Orangewood Christian's winning streak, which now stands at three games. Orangewood Christian put the hurt on All Saints' Academy with a sharp 4-1 victory. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Saints are ranked 497th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bishop Moore waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Warriors 4-1.

Bishop Moore hit West Orange with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from David Quintero (2), John Gardner, and Marco Acevedo.

Bishop Moore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those seven contests. As for Orangewood Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Orangewood Christian might still be hurting after the 6-1 loss they got from Bishop Moore when the teams last played back in January of 2019. Can Orangewood Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
