Softball Recap: Monarch Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Monarch's offense. They came up short against the Stoneman Douglas Eagles on Wednesday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 27 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Monarch has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Stoneman Douglas, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Monarch wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against Cardinal Gibbons on the 16th. As for Stoneman Douglas, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Westminster Academy on the 16th.
