Basketball Recap: Saint James Takes Down Midfield in a Playoff Battle

Saint James extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Midfield. They blew past the Midfield Patriots 61-38. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Midfield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kamiya Webb dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Webb is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 53 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Stokes, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

The win (which was Saint James' 20th in a row) raised their record to 34-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points over those games. As for Midfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 28-4.
