Softball Recap: Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Takes a Loss

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Putnam Kingsmen, falling 10-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sage Nuckols, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI.

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Putnam, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-14.

While Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
