Softball Game Preview: Kelly Catholic Bulldogs vs. The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors

Kelly Catholic hasn't had much luck against The Woodlands Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Kelly Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Last Monday, Kelly Catholic got the win against Frassati Catholic by a conclusive 19-3.

Audrey Brown made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Brown was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Abigail Brown was a standout: she scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Daisy Galmor was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 20 runs the game before, The Woodlands Christian Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 10-2 to Houston Christian. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Kelly Catholic's record is now 10-14-2. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4-1.
