Volleyball Recap: North Eugene Comes Up Short

North Eugene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Churchill Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

North Eugene's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Churchill, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

North Eugene wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Eagle Point on the 18th. As for Churchill, they will head out on the road to face off against Thurston at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
