Basketball Recap: Pierz Takes a Loss

Pierz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 71-40 defeat at the hands of the Foley Falcons. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

Pierz's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Foley, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-3.

While Pierz had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
