Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

St. Mary's Academy managed to slip by Jefferson Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Jaguars on Monday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.

Luna Sanchez paced St. Mary's Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Sanchez got some help from Hannah Records and her ten assists. Records also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lillie Sheppard, each putting up three.

Tailey Sengdara was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

St. Mary's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Jefferson Academy, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-10.

St. Mary's Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Denver Christian on the 7th. As for Jefferson Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Eagle Ridge Academy on the 8th.
