Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Trinity Lutheran walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Springs Valley Blackhawks on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Defeat or not, Springs Valley got some senior leadership from Maci Eckerty and Kyan Green. Eckerty had 20 digs and two assists, while Green had six aces and three digs.

Trinity Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 22-11. As for Springs Valley, the loss snapped their winning streak at 14 matches and leaves them with a 29-5 record.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Trinity Lutheran and Faith Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Springs Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
