Volleyball Recap: Carroll Comes Up Short

Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Bishop Fenwick Falcons. The Patriots were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-21.

Kael Grothaus paced Carroll's offense, picking up seven kills. Grothaus got some help from Caleb Goecke and his 12 assists. Finally, Parker Davidson kept Carroll's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Carroll now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bishop Fenwick, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-3.

Carroll has already played their next contest (against Bishop Hartley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bishop Fenwick, they will challenge Sycamore at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
