 It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Owensboro can now relate to. They took  a  43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Henderson County Colonels. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Owensboro in their matchups with Henderson County: they've now lost seven in a row.
 Despite the  loss, Owensboro saw an underclassman step up:  Unique Carter-Swanagan  scored 15 points along with two  steals. Another player making a difference was  Heleina John, who  scored 13 points.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Henderson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Anna Kemp, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on nine points and 12  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  A'tylia Green, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds.
 Owensboro's defeat dropped their record down to 21-12. As for Henderson County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 16 of their last 17 contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record  this season.
 Owensboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Henderson County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  47-37  loss vs. Cooper on the 15th.
