Basketball Recap: Meridian Triumphs

Meridian hadn't done well against Ferndale recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Meridian Trojans came out on top against the Ferndale Golden Eagles by a score of 52-39. The 52-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meridian's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Ferndale, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meridian will venture away from home to challenge Mount Vernon at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ferndale, they are taking a road trip to take on Blaine at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Ferndale is facing Blaine at the right time seeing as Blaine is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
