            Softball Recap: Lexington Tigers vs. Dyer County Choctaws        
        
		
        
        
            If Lexington was feeling good  fresh off their  11-0 takedown of Jackson North Side last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lexington came up short against  the Dyer County Choctaws on Thursday, falling  11-1. The Tigers were not able to make up for their  loss to the Choctaws from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.

 Kk Simko made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-2. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.
 Even though they lost, Lexington  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most four  strikeouts in eight consecutive  matchups.
Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1. As for Dyer County, the  victory was  the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.
 Looking ahead, Lexington will take on Bedford North Lawrence in a tournament  on Saturday. As for Dyer County, they will head out to  square off against Benet Academy  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
