Wylie won the last time they faced Lone Star and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Rangers 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Keelyn Green paced Wylie's offense, picking up 15 kills. Green got some help from Olivia Royal and her 20 assists. Royal was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lone Star lost, don't look at Tilah Perez. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs and three aces. Perez has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played. Camille Perry also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

The victory got Wylie back to even at 8-8. As for Lone Star, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season.

Wylie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Plano on the 23rd. As for Lone Star, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Celina on the 26th.
