Volleyball Recap: College Station Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

While College Station's victory against A&M Consolidated wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted against the Tigers since October 14, 2022.

College Station took A&M Consolidated into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 24-26, 15-11.

College Station found their leader in sophomore Ali Honnert, who had 13 digs and five assists. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Honnert.

College Station was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as A&M Consolidated only served nine.

When it comes to explaining why A&M Consolidated lost on Friday, don't look at Presley Johnson. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and two aces. Palmer Pitman also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

College Station is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-10 record this season. As for A&M Consolidated, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 29-9.
