Game recap: Defense comes up big in Lynbrook's win over James Lick

The defense contributed on the scoring end for Lynbrook (San Jose, Calif.) on Saturday, totaling 12 points as the Vikings beat James Lick (San Jose, Calif.) 27-6.

After taking the lead on a passing touchdown, the Comets went into halftime with a 6-0 lead. The Vikings took the lead for good with a touchdown in the third quarter.

Tim Wallis was the top performer for Lynbrook. The senior caught two touchdowns. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.

James Lick's lone touchdown came on a 9-yard pass in the first quarter.



Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 49-6 win for LHS.

James Lick (0-2) goes up against Del Mar in a West Valley game matchup next week, while Lynbrook (2-1) locks horns with Wilcox in a non-conference game.
