Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions vs. Weatherly

The Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome Weatherly at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Lincoln Leadership Academy sitting on four straight wins and Weatherly on three.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln Leadership Academy faced off against Lehigh Valley Academy on Friday. Lincoln Leadership Academy took down Lehigh Valley Academy 54-37. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 615th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Weatherly hadn't done well against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in December of 2024. Weatherly pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over Our Lady of Lourdes Regional.

Lincoln Leadership Academy better keep an eye on Ian Mckeegan. He was instrumental in Weatherly's win, going 5 of 10 en route to 22 points along with eight assists and four steals. The game was Mckeegan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Wagner, who posted 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Weatherly was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Lincoln Leadership Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Weatherly, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Lincoln Leadership Academy beat Weatherly 74-66 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Does Lincoln Leadership Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Weatherly turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
