McNair extends road losing streak to nine

Recap: McNair Mustangs vs. Columbia Eagles

The McNair Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 15th straight loss. They were outmatched by Columbia on the road and fell 86-25. McNair has not had much luck with Columbia recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Despite the loss, McNair still got an impressive performance from Kamar Gooden, who scored 11 points.

McNair dropped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Columbia, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNair won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jasper County at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th. Jasper County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to take on Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elite Scholars Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Columbia is ranked 39th).
