Baseball Recap: South Western Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

South Western entered their tilt with Kennard-Dale on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Rams. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

The team relied heavily on Jaden Freeze, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Resetar, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

South Western's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Kennard-Dale, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 14 games and leaves them with a 17-3 record.

Looking ahead, South Western will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Bermudian Springs at 1:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 4, the Eagles 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Kennard-Dale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
