AAA Region 7 recap September 17, 2013

North Hall was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Jefferson. The Trojans came in at 17 in the state poll after placing at number 28 last week.

West Hall moved up to 215 from 259 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in AAA Region 7. The Spartans climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Lumpkin County 49-21.

Fannin County's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trevor Stone threw for 115 yards and Jordan Gray had 23 yards receiving. On the ground Peyton Satterfield contributed 83 yards. Noah O'Neal helped Fannin County's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 27 yards.

The Rebels' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver.

Greg Chambers' team's dynamic duo of Stone and Gray proved to be unstoppable against White County, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Stone and Satterfield gave Fannin County a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Christian Resendiz also contributed to the rushing game with 35 yards on the ground.

An important game coming up in AAA Region 7 this week will be when Banks County takes on West Hall. The Leopards are in eighth place, while Tony Lotti's team is in fifth place.

Dawson County and Forsyth Central played the closest game in the league this week, with Dawson County eventually emerging with a 23-20 victory.
