Flagler Palm Coast is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past University to the tune of 38-7 on Friday. With the Bulldogs ahead 28-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Flagler Palm Coast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was La'Darius Simmons out in front who rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 135 yards while completing 71.4% of his passes. Another rusher making a difference was Ehimen Ajede, who rushed for 95 yards and one TD on only eight carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Flagler Palm Coast was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 35 points the game before, Fletcher was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against Oakleaf, falling 38-9. While losing is never fun, the Senators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Knights are ranked 34th).
Flagler Palm Coast will have to keep a close watch on Jah'Myri Jennings and Joshua Jones, a pair of players who had a big impact on Fletcher's prior game. Jennings gained 145 total yards, while Jones picked up 104 receiving yards and one score.
With the win, Flagler Palm Coast broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Fletcher, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Flagler Palm Coast took their victory against Fletcher in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 49-29 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Senators' Diondre Smith, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Bulldogs still be able to contain Smith? There's only one way to find out.
