Volleyball Recap: Mater Academy Charter Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

Mater Academy Charter had won two straight games and Carlos Verde did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Lions put the hurt on the Somerset Academy Central Miramar Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Verde, who had 20 digs and five aces. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 20 or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Mater Academy Charter walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-9.
