Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kankakee can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lemont Lemont HS on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16.

Malea Harrison paced Kankakee's offense, picking up five kills. Harrison got some help from Alma Melendez and her six assists. Harrison was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Kankakee's defeat dropped their record down to 17-13. As for Lemont, they pushed their record up to 24-12 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Kankakee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lemont, they will take on Marian Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
