Chewelah won the last time they faced Lakeside and things went their way on Thursday too. Chewelah walked away with a 13-8 win over Lakeside. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Luke McGuire looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Ryen McMillan was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Jeanneret, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Chewelah's record is now 2-0.

Coming up, Chewelah will face off against Kettle Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeside, they will take on Lewis & Clark at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
