Soccer Recap: Independence Starts off Right with Win over Christ Presbyterian Academy

Independence gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions a 5-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Emmitt Foretich as he scored three goals for his team.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Lipscomb Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will take on Hendersonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
