Basketball Game Preview: Buckeye Local Panthers vs. Southern Indians

The Buckeye Local Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Southern Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buckeye Local will be strutting in after a win while Southern will be coming in after a loss.

Buckeye Local took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They strolled past Oak Glen with points to spare, taking the game 53-39.

Meanwhile, Southern lost to East Palestine at home by a 67-50 margin on Wednesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Buckeye Local is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Southern, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Buckeye Local beat Southern 56-46 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Does Buckeye Local have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
