Baseball Recap: Las Lomas Comes Up Short

Las Lomas had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 12-11-1 to make it four. They fell just short of the Miramonte Matadors by a score of 3-2. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Matadors earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Jack Foscalina was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

As for Miramonte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-16 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Las Lomas since March 4, 2020.

On Miramonte's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was George Gilbert, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The Matadors are 3-1 when Gilbert posts two or more stolen bases, but 5-15 otherwise.

As of now, neither Las Lomas nor Miramonte have any future games scheduled.
