Soccer Recap: Glendale Extends Winning Streak to Three

Glendale won the last time they faced Crescenta Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Glendale Nitros walked away with a 3-1 win over the Crescenta Valley Falcons. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Nitros' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 675th, while the Falcons are ranked 262nd).

Glendale hit Crescenta Valley with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Narek Naghdalyan, Erik Tsaturyan, and Tony Torosyan.

The win was the third in a row for Glendale, bringing their record for this year to 6-4-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Crescenta Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Glendale and Crescenta Valley will both be playing Burroughs the next time they take the pitch. Glendale will host Burroughs at 3:45 p.m. on Friday, while Crescenta Valley will host them at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
