After losing to Auburn the last time they met, Hillsboro decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hiltoppers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Trojans 2-1.

Kearstynn Davis paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up nine kills. Davis got some help from Amya Greenwood and her 19 assists. Bailey Chappelear controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Hillsboro is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Hillsboro has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Riverton on the 13th. As for Auburn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Edinburg on the 13th.
